The Red Hot Chili Peppers returned to Chicago to headline the Lollapalooza stage. Guitarist Josh Klinghoffer made a return trip to Chicago Music Exchange, if you remember Josh did some Strat shopping with us back in May (read,“Red Hot Chili Pepper Josh Klinghoffer shopping for a Strat” for more on that.). On that trip Josh picked up a ’59 Strat a ’73 Fender Coronado and ’65 Mosrite Bass. This time Josh found our 1960 Fender Stratocaster in three tone sunburst with rare factory sunburst neck. He played it, he loved it and he left with it. Josh and his crew hung out with us for most of the afternoon enjoying birthday cake (happy birthday DanB!) and talking guitar. Later that evening we were side stage enjoying RHCP live and as always their enthusiasm, energy and showmanship blew the Lolla crowd away.
